Data is key
In today’s world, we already rely on data extensively. However, with many of our important or even critical infrastructure, we do not always have a good understanding on what is going on when nobody is there. Whether the motivation is safety, productivity, or efficiency – data is important.
In contrast to the data generated through web applications, data of the real world relies typically on sensors. A sensor is in essence a device that detects and measures changes in its environment. Sensors therefore can help control systems to understand what is happening around them. With this information, decisions can be taken by the control system autonomously leading to possible improvements in productivity, safety or efficiency.
Different challenges
Insufficient data often results in higher costs and increased complexity
Principles of organic electronics
Printed electronics involve the use of additive manufacturing technologies to print electronic circuits and devices onto flexible substrates like plastic, paper, or textiles. This enables the production of lightweight, thin, and flexible devices for diverse applications.
Where traditional manufacturing methods for inorganic, silicium-based electronics often involve high-temperatures up to 1,000°C, organic electronics are processed at lower temperatures of max. 200°C making it the more sustainable alternative.
We mainly rely on inkjet printing in a self-developed roll-to-roll process where we print onto flexible plastic substrates. This allows us to combine high throughput, low material costs, and freedom to change the layouts.
Innovating together
One of the key advantages of the technology we use is the possibility for an easy adaptation.
With a rapid prototyping approach based on a test kit you can try, we quickly find the configuration together that works best for you.
