Why is hydraulic balancing so important?
According to § 60c of the German Building Energy Act (GEG), hydraulic balancing is mandatory for heating systems in buildings with more than six residential units. The Flexora sensor solution helps you meet these requirements reliably and efficiently.
Without proper adjustment, radiators located close to the heat generator are often oversupplied, while those farther away remain undersupplied. The consequences: uneven room temperatures, disturbing flow noise, higher energy costs, and inefficient system operation.

How does our sensor solution optimize hydraulic adjustment?
Precise temperature measurement: Our thin and flexible sensor foil can be applied to radiators for the duration of hydraulic balancing – either by sticking it on or using magnets. The integrated temperature sensors capture the radiator temperature both across the surface and at multiple precise points simultaneously, delivering a detailed, location-specific temperature profile in real time.
Wireless data transmission: The collected data is transmitted wirelessly to an IoT box and from there sent via radio or cable to a tablet or PC running our app or software.
Analysis & visualization: Through the intuitive dashboard, you can monitor the heat output of each radiator and easily identify temperature differences.
Accurate valve adjustment: Based on the measurements, you can immediately see if a radiator is under- or oversupplied and optimally adjust and fine-tune the thermostatic valves and return fittings. Thermostatic valves and return fittings are precisely calibrated to the calculated heat demand.
Documentation & traceability: All measurement data and adjustment values can be automatically documented and archived for transparent and verifiable inspection.
